Jade Rivera, PE
Jade Rivera was born in Junín, Peru in 1983. Seven months after he was born, his mother and he emigrated to Lima. Rivera grew up in the Chorrillos district, studied at a national school, and there his curiosity about art was aroused when he was eleven years old. The poor teaching of his school and his growing interest in art motivated him to dedicate himself more to drawing and painting. At the age of seventeen he studied at the Pre-National School of Fine Arts, but gave up applying at the last moment, developing his work empirically. Rivera has guided his work as a self-taught artist since 1997.
Rivera has been recognized for his large-format murals and also for his miniatures in different parts of the world. Along with his work as an urban artist, Jade spends much of his time working in the studio exploring more traditional techniques such as oil and watercolor.
"My paintings remind me that we die in every second and fade away".
